Found by AI
People now ask AI who to call. Here is what we do about it.
And what no one can promise.
What helps
Google says no special files or tricks are needed. What matters is a site that search tools can read, accurate business details, clear answers to the questions customers ask, and a current business profile. We do those things.
Where AI looks
In October 2026 we asked two AI assistants who to call for trades in Shrewsbury and Telford: 10 questions, each asked 5 times. Most of the sources they pointed to were directory pages, such as Checkatrade and Yell, not the firms' own sites.
So we keep your site and your listings telling the same story. Your own site is the part you fully control.
It was a small test. We will repeat it and say when we do.
What we will measure
Four numbers. Never one score.
This is not part of the £79 plan, and we have not built it yet. It is the method we plan to use. We will never blend the numbers into one score.
- How complete your business facts are. Services, areas, hours, qualifications, price guide. This one is in our hands.
- How often AI assistants name you. We ask the same questions of each assistant, several times. We tell you how many questions and how many runs. Answers change from run to run, so these are samples, not certainties.
- How often Microsoft's AI cites your site. From Bing's own report. [Only once checked.]
- Visits that came from AI assistants. Counted in your site's visitor figures. It counts too few, because many answers do not send a click.
Shown side by side. Never added up.
What we won't say
We won't promise you a mention, a ranking or a number of enquiries. Anyone who does is guessing.
Results depend on more than a website. Your reviews, your listings and how you answer the phone all count.
