The honest answer
Will a website get me work?
Not on its own. Anyone who promises you a flood of enquiries from a website is guessing. Here is what a website can do, what it can't, and what we would do about the rest.
What a site is for
When someone is given your name, a good site lets them see who you are, what you do, where you cover and how to ring you. We make sure that is right, and that it stays right.
What a site can't do
It can't make the phone ring by itself. It can't put you first on Google. It can't make ChatGPT name you. Nobody can promise those, including us. Results depend on more than a website: your reviews, your listings and how you answer the phone all count.
Do I even need one?
If you already have all the work you want, a website won't change your life. It is somewhere to send people who ask who you are. It is worth having if yours is old, if it is a chore to change, or if you want one place you control.
What about Facebook, Checkatrade and the rest?
Keep them if they pay for themselves. We are not asking you to drop them. The difference is that they are someone else's place, with their rules and their prices. A site is a place you control.
What about AI?
More people are asking ChatGPT, Google and others who to call. Try it. Ask three of them who to call for your trade in your town. Then ask again. The answers change.
We can't make an AI name you, and nobody honest can. We can make sure your site says clearly who you are, what you do and where. We are also building more help for this with our first owners.
What we will do, and what we won't
We will build you a draft first, keep your details right, and tell you what we did and what we saw. We won't promise you rankings, AI mentions or enquiries.
